To predict: The effects of rapid breathing on homeostasis if the blood and the interstitial fluid have a high concentration of carbon dioxide.
Introduction: In order to function properly, animals need to maintain the temperature and pH within relatively narrow limits. Homeostasis is the state of balanced internal environment. The internal environment stays in a dynamic equilibrium where conditions remain within narrow limits. This state of dynamic equilibrium is known as steady state.
