The bee sits on the carpel and releases pollen grains, which stick to the carpel and lead to germination. In the given experiment, the seeds of gooseberry plant were self-pollinated, cross-pollinated by hand, and cross-pollinated by bees. The results of the experiment are given in the graph below:
