Summary Introduction
To drive blood through blood vessels, the pressure is needed, which is generated by the heart. The heart of animals works like a pump and it is made up of muscles that contract rhythmically thereby generating the pressure. The heart is a more complex form and that possesses chambers. These chambers tend to expand and fill with deoxygenated blood. Once filling is completed, the muscle of heart constricts and as a result, deoxygenated blood pumped to the lungs (or gills) thereby oxygenated blood reaches the animal tissues.
