Introduction:

Ecosystems maintain themselves by cycling energy and nutrients from external sources like the Sun. There are 3 tropic levels-primary, second, and third levels. The primary producers at the tropic level use solar energy to produce organic matter through the process of photosynthesis. The second levels which are herbivores consume the plants, and the third level which are carnivores consume the herbivores. Of all the most important is the decomposers namely bacteria, fungi, insects, worms, etc.
