Carnivorous plants as the name suggests are those, which derive their nutrition by killing animals. Their prey includes insects and sometimes even rodents. They attract the prey by their bright colors and nectarines. They adapt to grow in the areas where the soil is poor in terms of nutrients, particularly in nitrogen like acidic bogs and the soil is thin.
