Introduction:

Digestion is the process of conversion of larger molecules into smaller and simpler molecules which can be used the organism for the generation of ATP molecules. The processing of food in special compartments eliminates the risk of self digestion. Many animals have simpler body plan while other have complex body plans, so the digestion takes place accordingly in the animal.
