To determine:

The probability of obtaining two progeny in ${\text{F}}_{\text{2}}$ having apricot eyes and tan coats out of eight progenies obtained from the self cross between ${\text{F}}_{\text{1}}$ (obtained from the cross between mouse having brown eyes, black coat and mouse with apricot eyes and tan coat).

Introduction:

The cross between mouse having homozygous brown eyes (${\text{a}}^{\text{+}}$), black (${\text{t}}^{\text{+}}$) coat allele and homozygous apricot eyes (a), brown (t) coat alleles will give rise to a mouse with black coat and brown eyes (${\text{a}}^{\text{+}}{\text{at}}^{\text{+}}\text{t}$) as brown eye color is dominant over apricot colored eye trait and black coat color is dominant over tan coat trait.
