Chapter 3.2, Problem 4CC
Summary Introduction

Mendel’s “monohybrid crosses” was among parents, which differed in a single characteristic. In the first experiment, he crossed a pea plant (homozygous) for round seeds with one that contained wrinkled seeds. The first generation of that cross is termed as “parental generation”. The offsprings produced by the parents in the P generation called the “F1 generation”. Mendel then self fertilized the offsprings of F1 generation produced “F2 generation”.
