Whether the white or black coat color in cats is a recessive trait.

Introduction:

The two parent cells cross with each other and result in the formation of new progeny. The daughter cells receive one allele from each parent. The alleles are the variations in the form of the gene, which accounts for the change in the genotype and phenotype of an organism. The individual receiving one dominant allele and one recessive allele will be heterozygous dominant. The individual receiving two dominant alleles will be homozygous dominant, and individual receiving two recessive alleles will be homozygous recessive.
