To determine:

A test for the hypothesis where a caterpillar is fed on a certain plant and after a while, it rejects the nearby uneaten plants and starts to feed on the new plants which were away from the original plant. It was hypothesized that the leaves had emitted some volatile compounds and that had signaled and initiated plant defense mechanisms in the nearby plants.

Herbivory is referred to the animals that eat plants. This is a type of stress that is faced by the plants. This causes the plants to become small and hinder their ability to gain resources.
