Summary Introduction

Concept introduction: The directional movement of different plant parts in response to different environmental stimuli like light, water or gravity is known as tropism. There are several types of tropic movements exhibited by plants and they are primarily depending on the type of stimuli associated with the movement. The directional movement of plant roots in response to gravity in that particular area is called gravitotropic movement.
