Concept explainers
Waves overlap very little in the image of a pinhole camera. Does this feature contribute to sharpness or to a blurry image?
Standard of measurements
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
In a branch of science, that called metrology which is that the science of measurement where it’s explained that a standard is an object, system, or any experiment that carriages a specific relationship to a unit of measurement of a physical quantity. Standards are the elemental reference for a system of weights and measures, against which all other measuring devices are compared.
If I was in the Middle Ages when people actually used the length of king’s arm as the standard of measurement I surely tried to convince them to use some logical standard of measurements. I would tell the people that the length of arm or the length of foot is not so logical standard of measurement as they from person to person. So if continue our measurements using the length of arm or length of foot, we will never get the proper measurement of any objects. So it is necessary to use a new standard of measurement that will give a perfect measurement of an object.
Conclusion:
Now a day the concept of weights and measures include such factors like temperature, luminosity, pressure, and electric current. But it once consisted of only four basic measurements which were mass (weight of a body or object), distance or length of the object, area, and volume (liquid or grain measure). The last three are, of course, closely related.
