Introduction: The abdominal aorta divides into two common iliac arteries within the pelvis. These arteries are the terminal branches of the abdominal aorta. They emerge at the level of L4, which are the fourth lumbar vertebrae. They further divide and form external iliac arteries as well as internal iliac arteries.
