Concept introduction: Organic compounds are the chemical compounds. They are generally composed of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms. These atoms are covalently linked with other atoms. Carbonates, carbides, and cyanides are some exception. They are classified as inorganic compounds.
Inorganic compounds are just opposite of organic compounds. They do not contain carbon and hydrogen. They are generally made up of salts, metals, or from single elements. They are not covalently bonded with each other.
