Concept introduction:
Blood is a fluid connective tissue that composed of blood plasma and formed elements. It is about 45% of formed elements and 55 % of blood plasma. The formed elements of the blood mainly include three components such as erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets. Erythrocytes or the red blood cells contain oxygen-carrying protein called haemoglobin. The leukocytes or white blood cells are of two types such as granular lymphocytes and agranular lymphocytes. The granular lymphocytes include neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils. The agranular lymphocytes are two types such as lymphocytes and monocytes. The platelets or the thrombocytes are tiny blood cells that help for the blood clotting during the external injury.
