To examine: Whether the statement “Excess visceral fat and insulin resistance are shared characteristics among women with PCOS” is true or false.
Introduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is connected with hormones related problems that are seen in some women in their childbearing years (ages 15 to 44). 2.2 to 26.7 % of women of this age are reported to have PCOS, most of them not having any relatable information about the condition. PCOS influences the ovaries, and estrogen and progesterone produced by the conceptive organs that manage the menstrual cycle. Ovulation is the release of an ovum from a mature follicle. The hormones luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) control ovulation. FSH allows the ovary to create a follicle egg present in a sac and after that the egg is triggered by the LH and then the ovary discharges a developed egg.

He does not smoke. He had knee surgery 10 years ago but otherwise has had no other major medical problem. Over the years he has tried low glycemic diet and Aerobic exercise program to reduce his weight but has not been very successful. His granddaughter just started high school and he wants to see her graduate and go on college. He understands that his diabetes puts him at high-risk for heart disease and is frustrated that he cannot lose the necessary weight. His neighbor told him about a colleague at work who had his stomach stapled (Gastric or Bariatric surgery) and as a result not only lost over 100 lbs, but also “cured” his diabetes. In addition, one family member told him about intermittent fasting and Keto diet while other relative is regularly doing High-intensity interval training (HIIT).
