Introduction:

Plant hormones are the chemical signals transported within the plant body when taken up by the target cells, the signals elicit responses. The major plant hormones are auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, ethylene, abscisic acid, and brassinosteroids. Plant hormones are small molecules synthesized in the metabolic pathways that also make amino acids, nucleotides, sterols and secondary metabolites.
