Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation: The effect of dieting on blood glucose level is to be explained.
Concept introduction: All the components of food (such as protein, carbohydrates, and fats) when taken in excess can result in fat storage. The excess of carbohydrates can be converted to fats that lead to weight gain but fats cannot yield back carbohydrates (glucose). Dieting is helpful for weight loss by cutting down the stored fat from the body.
The blood glucose levels are very important to be maintained otherwise it would result in health complications (such as brain cell damage). Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas that controls the glucose levels in the blood.
