Chapter 28.2, Problem 5LO
Summary Introduction

To write:

The types of joints found in the human body and their examples.

Introduction:

An articulation or a joint refers to the assembly produced among the bones in the body that associate the skeletal system into a functional whole. They are produced to permit for various kinds of degrees of movement. The joints are primarily categorized functionally and structurally.

Structural classification is predicted by the manner, in which the bones are attached to each other, on the other hand, functional classification is predicted by the extent of movement amid the articulating bones. The joints classified based on structural classification are fibrous joint, cartilaginous joint, and synovial joint. The joints classified based on functional classification are synarthrosis, amphiarthrosis, and diarthrosis.
