Introduction:
The anterior pituitary is otherwise known as the adenohypophysis. It possesses the major part of the pituitary which is the anterior lobe. It is connected to the hypothalamus through blood vessels called the hypophysial portal system. It comprises primary capillaries, venules, and secondary capillaries.
