The path of a drop of blood from its entry into the renal artery until it exit at a renal vein.

Concept introduction:

The circulation of blood through the kidneys is very essential for the elimination of the metabolic waste from the blood. The renal artery that originates from the lateral side of the abdominal aorta supplies blood to the kidney. The blood is then filtered in the kidney and taken by the renal vein to the inferior vena cava to drain into the heart.
