Introduction:

Several changes take place in the uterine lining during the menstrual cycle. The endometrium grows to a thick and blood vessel rich tissue lining that represents the optimal environment for the implantation of the blastocyst. During menstruation, the body starts to prepare for ovulation, and the levels of estrogen start to rise which signals follicular or proliferation phase.
