Introduction: Phenylthiocarbamide is organosulfur thiourea consisting of the phenyl ring and it is otherwise called as phenylthiourea. The property of phenylthiocarbamide is unusual that is either virtually tasteless or it is very bitter in taste. Generally, it is based on the hereditary makeup of the taster. The capacity to taste phenylthiocarbamide is frequently treated as a dominant genetic trait, however, the expression and inheritance of trait are more complex.
