NAD stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide. It is a coenzyme and it is found in every cell of the body. It gets reduced and forms NADH which is a reducing power of the cell. Its main function is of the electron transfer. It also functions as a cofactor for many enzymes like the dehydrogenases, reductases, hydrolases and so on.
