Introduction:

The renal tubule is a passage that begins from the glomerular capsule and ends at the medullary pyramid. It is divided into four major regions as proximal convoluted tubule, nephron loop, distal convoluted tubule and collecting duct. Each of these regions has characteristic physiological properties and functions in the process of urine production.
