Question
Chapter 2.5, Problem 2LO
Summary Introduction
To explain: The relevance of unusual properties of water for living systems.
Introduction: Water molecules are attracted very well to each other. The positively charged (plus end) end of the hydrogen atom attaches with the negatively charged (minus end) end of the oxygen atom. This attraction forms the hydrogen bonding in the liquid water. This type of interaction is a weak interaction.
