In an SH2 step, H atoms or halogen atoms are abstracted, similar dynamics as SN2 reaction. Single-barbed curved arrows are used to show movement of single electrons and this is thing differ SH2 reaction from SN2 reaction. Three Single-barbed curved arrows are used to represent the step: two Single-barbed curved arrows (in opposite direction) originating from the middle of C-H bond which is going to break and one is originating from the radical end to the atom which is abstracted by the radical.
