Determine the implications of adding speciality hospital:
According to the product-process framework, Company S is a speciality hospital that treats hernias. When compared to general hospital, speciality hospitals would provide narrow range of services. The complexity of the operation is low when compared to the general hospital and high when compared to rehabilitation or psychiatric hospital.
When cosmetic surgery is added to the hospital, the hospital will still be the speciality hospital. It would move into another category only when a wide range of medical care added.
