Kidney physiology is administrated by certain principles. This includes osmotic pressure, down pressure, and electrochemical gradients. The stages of urine production and the role of the kidney (regulating urine concentration and fluid balance) is mainly depends on concepts like osmolarity, tonicity, and osmosis.
