The multiple allelic inheritance illustrated by discussing the genetics of ABO blood types.
Introduction:
Multiple allelic interaction is the phenomenon in which a single trait is influenced by more than two genes at a time. Classical examples to understand this is the human ABO blood types and the Human Leukocyte Antigen HLA, the human form of Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) which constitute the cell surface protein markers of the human immune system. Both are influenced by multiple genes on chromosome 9 and 6 respectively.
