Concept Introduction:

Diabetes mellitus is a disease that is associated with elevated blood glucose levels that result in the removal of blood glucose through the urinal tract. The patient of diabetes has a deficiency of hormone insulin. So their bodies consume fatty acids to produce ketone bodies as the source of energy. However, the accumulation of ketone acids results in an ailment called ketoacidosis.
