Parasitology is the study of eukaryotic parasites which includes two genera- Protozoa and Helminths. The later genera include both platyhelminthes and aschelminthes. Platyhelminthes are the tapeworms and flukes, whereas aschelminthes are roundworms. These parasites are usually transmitted to the host organism by being carried by arthropod vectors like mosquitoes, ticks and flies.
