Introduction: Different sets of the regulatory genes are used in Drosophila and Arabidopsis to establish the axis of the body in these organisms. In Drosophila, hox genes are the homeotic genes that belong to the homeobox gene family. In Arabidopsis, MADS-box protein is the family of transcription factors to which floral homeotic genes belong.
