Introduction: The cardiorespiratory system in the body plays an important role in delivering oxygen to muscles. Red blood corpuscles present in the blood contains a protein containing pigment that is hemoglobin. The hemoglobin has the capacity to carry oxygen and carbon dioxide. The hemoglobin carries oxygen to tissues and cells for oxidative phosphorylation at the end of which ATP is produced. The ATP produced in muscles will aid the athletes to make better use of their muscles in the sport they are competing in.
