Introduction:

The plants respond to countless environmental cues besides light, for example, more $C{O}_2$ in the atmosphere, low density of stomata on leaves, temperature, or gravity. Similarly, touch is another important environmental cue. When the directional response of plants occurs in opposite to touch, it is known as thigmotropism.
