Lungs are a pair of organs found in the thorax that is responsible for the exchange of gases between the respired air and blood. The end of the respiratory tract branches inside the lungs to form the alveoli, which are tiny, thin layered sacs. The alveoli are a site for exchange of gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide. Atmosphere is a gaseous layer surrounding the earth and is made up of several gases, especially oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapors.
