Concept introduction:

Fever is the abnormal elevation of body temperature, which is above $\text{37°C}$. The pyrogens are the substances responsible for fever and are also known as the fever-inducing molecules. The examples of pyrogens are IL-1, IL-6, $\text{TNF}-\text{α}$. Pyrogens circulate through blood and target hypothalamus.
