Introduction:

Lungs are the primary organs of the respiratory system. Lung diseases are classified into two types; they are obstructive lung disease or restrictive lung disease. Both these diseases have common symptom which is shortness of breath. The spirometer is an apparatus used for measurement of lung volumes and capacities. These measurements distinguish restrictive and obstructive lung disorders.
