Introduction:
The human respiratory system has a group of organs that are involved in exchanges of the gases. The lungs are the principal organs of respiration. It is a pair of conical shaped organs that are present in the thorax. There is a right and a left lung present in humans. The lungs form a part of the lower respiratory tract and branches from the trachea. The main functions of the lungs are exchange of gases between the lungs and the blood and protects against any infection produced through air.
