1) Concept:

We are given Ksp of Ca5(PO4)3F,3.2 × 10-60 and asked to find Ksp of Ca10(PO4)6F2. As we noticed that each number of atoms in Ca10(PO4)6F2 is double to that of Ca5(PO4)3F. The Ksp of Ca10(PO4)6F2 can be calculated by squaring the Ksp of Ca5(PO4)3F and it must be less than Ksp of Ca5(PO4)3F since the number of atoms increases in the interested compound.

Ksp of Ca5(PO4)3F is 3.2 × 10-60

The Ksp expression for Ca10PO46F2 is

Ksp Ca10PO46F2=Ca2+10PO43-6F-2 equation (1)
