The extensive properties ofsamples of copper and platinum can be the same as it depends only on the mass of the substance so, one can have both the samples in the same amount as 5 gm of each, copper and platinum. Whereas the extensive properties for samples of copper and platinum cannot be the same the composition of matter is not the same in copper and platinum. Copper and platinum are pure substances as copper is composed of copper metal only and platinum is composed of platinum metal only.
