The secondary growth in eudicot stem.
Introduction:
In the woody eudicot, both primary growth and secondary growth takes place. Primary growth takes place at the tips of the shoot and root while the secondary growth takes place by cell division in the cambia or lateral meristem. The vascular cambium that plays a major role in secondary growth is sensitive to climatic changes resulting in the formation of two types of wood (spring wood and summer wood)
