Summary Introduction

Introduction: Muscle tissues play a vital role in heat generation and provide movement to various organs of the body. There are three different types of muscle tissues including skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, and smooth muscle. Skeletal muscle consists of around 40% of total mass of the body which is the voluntary muscle tissue. The main characteristics of the cardiac muscle are that they are striated, branched, involuntary, and intrinsically controlled. The smooth muscles lack striations, as they are involuntarily controlled, not striated, and not branched.
