Introduction:
Binary fission can be defined as a type of asexual reproduction. It is common in prokaryotes. In this type, a cell divides to give rise to two cells. The daughter cells have the potential to grow to the size of the parent cell. This process can be seen in the bacteria, and protists as they reproduce by means of asexual reproduction.
