The treatment given by the physician to accelerate the lung development in prematurely born baby having undifferentiated lung cells.
Introduction:
The lungs are the vital organs which develop in the later stage of prenatal period. Sometimes the important parts of lungs not fully develop until the end of pregnancy. The main cause of breathing disorders related to lung development is associated with the premature birth. Congenital defects also affect the lung or airway development and lead to breathing problems. The treatment is primarily supportive, so that until lung growth takes place to an extent that the lung can support normal gas exchange, the babies should be supported by artificial means. Some of the respiratory medications, also used by the physician.
