Summary Introduction

To review:

The ductus venosus and the ductus arteriosus along with their locations, functions, and the differences between them.

Introduction:

The cells and the tissues composing the human body are in constant need of oxygen in order to efficiently perform their functions. This oxygen supply is possible by the means of the blood vessels that are located throughout the body. The thick walled blood vessels called arteries supply oxygenated blood to the organs while the comparatively thin walled veins carry away the deoxygenated blood from the tissues towards the heart.
