Chapter 2, Problem R14RQ

Explanation of Solution

Use of Telnet to send a multi-line request:

Telnet:

Telnet is a bidirectional interactive text oriented communication facility, which is used as a protocol on the internet by using a virtual terminal connection.

“Telnet” command:

“Telnet” is a command used in Linux and windows which is a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol) for accessing remote computers.

But, telnet is not available in windows by default. Below are the steps to make telnet available in windows:

  • First, the user needs to go the control panel. Then, proceed to Programs and features, then click on turn windows features on and off followed by clicking the check Telnet Client.

In order to start telnet, one needs to the following:

  • In the windows command prompt, one needs to write the following command:

    > telnet webserverver 80

    • Where, “webserver” can be any web server that is available to connect.
    • This enables a TCP connection between the client telnet program and the web server that was connected...

Show the connections I/O chip with 4 internal one-byte ports and various address decoders of the data and address buses and the read and write strobes. Use arrows at each chip to indicate whether a particular signal is an input or an output. Indicate the width of each bus and the range of the address bus signals used by each chip. UMKC 17
