To explain:
The apparent contradiction, as given in a newspaper about gangrene states that the tissue-destroying toxin, lecithinase, is an “organic compound”. But many people consider “organic” chemicals to mean something good.
Introduction:
Gangrene is considered as a medical condition that involves the death of tissue caused by the lack of blood supply. Gangrene is caused due to common infection, wound, and long-term conditions which obstruct the blood supply towards the body parts.
Gas gangrene is a severe form of gangrene, which occurred by bacterium Clostridium perfringens. This bacterium is Gram-positive, spore-forming and anaerobic that can produce organic gas. Clostridium perfringens bacterium enters into the body through soil, unhygienic conditions and open wounds. Gas gangrene causes the conditions of septic shock, muscle damage, necrosis and lysis of neutrophils. It leads to a serious medical condition.
