The significance of cellulose.
Introduction:
Cellulose is a type of structural polysaccharide. It is mostly found in the cell walls of plants, inballs of cotton produced by the cotton plant, and comprises around 50% of the dryweight of plant trunks. Plants produce up to a trillion tons of cellulose. Thus, it is the mostabundant organic molecule found on earth. Cellulose is not digested by humans becauseof the absence of cellulase enzyme.
