The meaning of the term ‘nonhydrogenated zero trans-fats’.
Introduction:
Fatty acids are lipids and are insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as ether and benzene. They have a general formula (R-COOH) having a hydrocarbon chain with one end having a carboxylic group. Fatty acids vary in structure due to the number of hydrocarbon chains.
Triaclyglyceride is a condensation structure which is composed of three fatty acids with one glycerol molecule and includes fats and oils.
